New article in Nature Reviews Materials — Elevating Processing in AI-Driven Materials Design

🧠 Comment Article Published in Nature Reviews Materials

Excited to share our new Comment, “A call to elevate the role of processing in AI-driven materials design,” co-authored by Sreenivas Raguraman, Adam Griebel, Maitreyee Sharma Priyadharshini, Paulette Clancy, and Timothy P. Weihs.

What the Piece Argues

AI is accelerating materials discovery — but processing still decides whether predicted materials can actually be made and perform as intended. We advocate making processing a first-class design axis in models, datasets, and workflows, not an afterthought.

“The future of materials design lies not just in what we might make, but also in how we make it.”
